NICOLÒ COPERNICO AWARD FOR THE BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES
AWARD FOR AN INTENATIONAL ARTICLE, IN THE FIELD OF THE BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES, PUBLISHED BY A SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL WITH AN IMPACT FACTOR OVER 10, IF>10
The Promoting Committee of the Awards «Giulio Natta and Nicolò Copernico » for the Scientific Research and Technology Innovation of Ferrara will grant a scientific article in the field of the Biomedical Sciences published by a Scientific Journal with an impact factor over 10, I.F.>10. The scientific article, published in the period May 2015-June 2016, is signed as the first author by a young Italian researcher up to 35 years.
The published article must represent a scientific investigation carried out in an Italian Institution. The award consists of a cheque of 3,000 Euro. The applicants must send to the Secretary of the Copernico Award, c/o Prof. Mauro Tognon, University of Ferrara, 64/b Fossato di Mortara Street, Ferrara 44121, the following documents, as a hard copy and .doc electronic copy in CD, before 5 P.M., Friday, August 29, 2016:
a) Participation form;
b) The scientific article on the Biomedical Sciences reporting in which Italian Institution the research was carried out;
c) Letter of the Director of the Italian Institution that certifies where the research was performed;
d) Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum of the applicant, including the tax code and a small size picture of the applicant;
e) Description of the scientific activities in the biomedical field of the participant;
g) Complete list and hard copy of the scientific publications and their impact factor (2015);
The submitted applications will be evaluated by a specific Committee. The participants might be invited by the Committee to present and discuss the results of the published research. The winner will be nominated within September 5, 2016.
In previous editions of the prize, the awarded articles were published by important Journals, such as Science, Cell, and Nature. The Copernico Award cannot be cumulated with other prizes for the same published article.
